Foreword by Fr. John Chua

Dear friends and parishioners,

We are pleased to announce that the restoration and renovation of the main structure of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul has been completed.

Bringing you some of the highlights of the restorations and refurbishment:

  • Replacement of roof structure (wood to metal) and new acoustic ceilings insulation
  • New double roofing with insulation
  • Hacked and re-plastered walls
  • New flooring
  • Restoration of stained glass windows
  • New high altar with tabernacle and crucifix
  • New communion railings
  • New rose stained glass window on the front façade of the church
  • Installation of air-conditioning systems
  • New sound system

The furnishings like the altar, communion rails and confessionals will be installed at a later date in time for June’s official opening.

With the restored church, we hope that it will be a form of preservation of the legacy left behind by the early Christian community and continue its vibrant growth with its faithful.

We are very thankful towards God for your outpouring of love, support and prayers towards the church restoration project, especially with the dedication of the building committee, builders and workers, and many others who have contributed in one way or another.

As such, we would like to extend our warmest invitation to each and every one of you for our series of activities that are in conjunction with the celebrations of the restored church. We look forward to your active participation.

We humbly seek your continuous prayers for the church and the parish community as we keep you and your family in ours.

Thank you.

Yours in Christ,
Fr John Chua, OCD
